This page sets out the terms you agree to by using bapspatil.com, including what the content may be used for and what the site does not guarantee.

Who you are agreeing with

The site is operated by Bapusaheb Patil, trading as Nuits, a Finnish sole trader (toiminimi), Business ID 3584845-8, based in Helsinki, Finland. In these terms, “the site” means bapspatil.com and everything served from it. “I” and “me” mean Nuits.

By browsing the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the site.

What the site is

The site is a personal portfolio. It shows design and engineering work, case studies about that work, a mentoring page, a shop page that links to products hosted elsewhere, a booking link for a call, and a small game on the home page.

It is a showcase, not a shop and not a service. Nothing on it is a binding offer, a quote, or a commitment to take on work.

Content and intellectual property

The text, layout, code, photographs, illustrations, typefaces and case studies on this site are owned by Nuits or by the clients the work was made for, and are protected by copyright. Client names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here to describe work that was done, not to imply an endorsement or an ongoing relationship.

You may read the site, link to it, and quote short passages with attribution and a link back. You may not republish pages or case studies in full, present the work as your own, use the content to train or fine-tune a model without permission, or extract images, typefaces or code for commercial use.

Typefaces shown on the site are licensed separately through the platforms that distribute them. Seeing a typeface here is not a licence to use it. The licence you get is the one that comes with the purchase or download from that platform.

If you want to use something from this site, ask first at hi@bapspatil.com. The answer is usually yes.

Acceptable use

Use the site normally. Do not attempt to break into it, probe it for vulnerabilities, disrupt it, or send automated traffic at a volume that degrades it for anyone else. Do not attempt to bypass the rate limits on the site’s endpoints or submit falsified data to them.

Scraping at a reasonable, well-behaved rate for indexing or personal reference is fine. Bulk harvesting of the site’s content and images is not.

The game and the high-score table

The home page has a small game with a single shared high score. It exists for fun. Scores are stored without a name attached, the table can be reset or removed at any time, and no score is guaranteed to survive. Submitting a score through anything other than actually playing the game, including calling the endpoint directly or tampering with the client, is a breach of these terms and those scores will be deleted.

The shop and outbound links

Nothing is sold on this site and no payment is ever taken here. The shop page is a set of links out to platforms that host and sell the products: Gumroad, Amazon, MyFonts, Fontesk, Guvi, Figma Community and OpenSea.

When you follow one of those links and buy something, you enter into a contract with that platform or with the seller on it, under their terms, with their payment processor, and their consumer information and cancellation rules apply. Prices, availability, delivery, licensing terms and refunds are theirs to determine. Prices shown on this site are indicative and may be out of date.

The same applies to any other external link on the site. I do not control those sites, I do not endorse everything on them, and I am not responsible for their content, their security or their practices.

Mentoring and client work

Mentoring sessions and client engagements are arranged separately, through the platforms listed on the mentoring page or by direct agreement. Nothing on this site creates such an engagement. Where a separate agreement, statement of work or platform’s terms exist, those govern the engagement and take precedence over these terms for that engagement.

Booking a call through the Cal.com link books a conversation, nothing more. It creates no obligation on either side.

No advice, no warranty

The content here, including case studies, writing, code samples and anything discussed on a call, is provided for general information. It is not legal, financial, tax or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from someone qualified to give it for your situation.

The site is provided as it is and as it happens to be available. I do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, secure, or that anything on it is current or accurate. Case studies describe work at a point in time; the products they describe may have changed or ceased to exist since.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by Finnish law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business arising from your use of this site, from anything you relied on here, or from any site you reached through a link from here.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that mandatory Finnish or EU consumer law does not allow to be excluded.

Privacy

How the site handles personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Using the site means you have read it.

Availability and changes

The site may be changed, taken down, or have parts removed at any time without notice. These terms may also change; the date at the top of this page shows when they last did, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes go to the courts of Helsinki, Finland. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence, and you may bring proceedings there instead.
